Natural Gas Boilers, Kilns and Furnaces

OVERVIEW

We can design and supply proven technology to improve the efficiency of gas powered equipment such as kilns, furnaces and boilers.

The primary solution we offer is the installation of bespoke in-line fuel catalysts that are proven to improve the combustion characteristics of natural gas resulting in reduced emissions and and improved fuel economy.

More details of the technology are on the Catalyst Technology Overview page.

Test results

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the test is to measure the impact of the addition of an inline catalyst on natural gas. The ASTM test series performed were ASTM D7833, ASTM D7423 & ASTM 3588.

TESTING METHODS

The ASTM test series performed were ASTM D7833 (Standard Test Method for Determination of Hydrocarbons and Non-Hydrocarbon Gases in Gaseous Mixtures by Gas Chromatography); ASTM D7423 (Standard Test Method for Determination of Oxygenates in C2, C3, C4, and C5 Hydrocarbon Matrices by Gas Chromatography and Flame Ionization Detection).

OVERALL FINDINGS

A 2% to 3% increase in energy and 64% increase in oxygenates. Set at 95% confidence level.

RESULTS

The following changes in natural gas components were identified:

Nitrogen                -5%

Oxygen                  -5%

Carbon Dioxide  -10%

Methane               +2%

Ethane                   +3%

Propane              +13%

n – Butane           +17%
